FiberSport makes some of the most underrated poles in the sport. While most coaches default to ESSX or Pacer, FiberSport has quietly built a lineup that covers everything from durable daily practice poles to elite competition models — including the Sam Kendricks Signature PRO, built with a two-time World Champion.
TetonVault is an authorized FiberSport dealer. We carry the full pole lineup and have helped a lot of athletes and programs find the right FiberSport model. This guide covers every pole they make, who it’s built for, and what you’ll pay.
The FiberSport Lineup at a Glance
FiberSport makes six pole models, split between training and competition use:
- Non-Carbon Training Poles — fiberglass, built for durability
- Carbon Poles — intermediate competition
- USA Carbon Poles — American-made competition poles
- Hybrid/Carbon Poles — versatile competition model
- Signature Pro Carbon — advanced competition
- SAM KENDRICKS Signature PRO — elite collaboration model
Here’s how to think about each one.
FiberSport Non-Carbon Training Poles — $435+
Best for: Programs, coaches, and developing athletes who practice daily.
The Non-Carbon is FiberSport’s most practical pole. It’s fiberglass — not carbon — which means it can take the repetitive abuse of daily team training without the cracking and delamination you see in carbon poles that get used too hard, too often.
If you’re a high school program that needs team poles that survive a full season without replacement, or an athlete who practices multiple times a week and doesn’t want to beat up their competition pole, this is the model to look at.
Starting at $435, it’s also FiberSport’s most accessible entry point. The durability-to-cost ratio is hard to match anywhere in the market.
FiberSport Carbon Poles — $655+
Best for: Intermediate to advanced athletes competing regularly.
The Carbon Pole is FiberSport’s step up into competition-grade construction. It’s designed for athletes who’ve outgrown the training pole’s feel and need a responsive bend profile for meets.
The $655 starting price puts it above the ESSX Launch but in line with the Recoil — athletes evaluating options at this price point should demo both and see which bend profile matches their takeoff style.
FiberSport USA Carbon Poles — $690+
Best for: Athletes who want American-made competition poles.
The USA Carbon is FiberSport’s domestically manufactured competition pole. Same performance tier as the standard Carbon but built in the USA — which matters to some programs and athletes from a quality-control and supply-chain standpoint.
At $690 it’s priced close to the standard Carbon, making the “made in USA” distinction relatively easy to justify if that matters to you.
FiberSport Hybrid/Carbon Poles
Best for: Athletes who want flexibility between training and competition use.
The Hybrid/Carbon sits between the Non-Carbon and full Carbon in terms of construction — more durable than pure carbon but more performance-oriented than fiberglass. Pricing is available by contacting TetonVault directly — it varies by length and flex.
FiberSport Signature Pro Carbon
Best for: Advanced competitive athletes.
The Signature Pro is FiberSport’s premium carbon lineup below the Kendricks collaboration model. Designed for athletes competing at the high school elite, collegiate, and open levels who need a high-performance pole that holds up over a full season.
Contact TetonVault for current availability and pricing on specific lengths and flex numbers.
FiberSport SAM KENDRICKS Signature PRO — $690+
Best for: Serious competitive athletes who want a proven elite-level pole.
This is the one that gets attention. Sam Kendricks is a two-time World Champion (2017, 2019) and Olympic silver medalist. FiberSport built the Signature PRO in direct collaboration with him — it’s not a marketing arrangement, it’s an actual design partnership.
The result is an elite carbon competition pole that reflects how Kendricks actually vaults — fast approach, aggressive plant, powerful swing. Athletes who match that technical profile tend to respond very well to this model.
At $690 for available lengths, it’s priced competitively for what it delivers. TetonVault carries the Kendricks PRO and can advise on whether the pole fits your current vaulting profile.
FiberSport vs. ESSX — Which Should You Buy?
The question we get most often. Short version:
- Choose ESSX if you want a well-documented, widely used pole with a forgiving bend profile — especially for developing athletes. The ESSX Launch is the most common “first real carbon pole” recommendation.
- Choose FiberSport if you want a durable training pole (Non-Carbon has no real ESSX equivalent), an American-made option (USA Carbon), or the Sam Kendricks connection (unique to FiberSport).
Both are quality manufacturers. The choice comes down to which technical profile matches your vaulting style — something a fitting session with Coach Dopp will answer definitively.
