Teton Vault Club
A dedicated pole vault training club in Idaho Falls — year-round coaching for youth and high school athletes of all experience levels across east Idaho.
East Idaho's Pole Vault Club — Coached by a Vaulter
Teton Vault Club — formerly East Idaho Pole Vault Academy — is the region's only year-round pole vault development program. We serve athletes from throughout the Idaho Falls area, including Thunder Ridge, Idaho Falls High School, Skyline, Hillcrest, and Bonneville — as well as younger athletes who want to get a head start before high school.
The club gives athletes access to consistent coaching, structured progression, and competition preparation that school programs alone can't provide. Small group sizes mean every athlete gets individual attention on every rep.
Coach Dillon Dopp is the head pole vault coach at Thunder Ridge High School and a former collegiate decathlete and vaulter at Southern Utah University. This isn't a side project — it's the same coaching he brings to his high school athletes every day.

Built for Athletes at Every Stage
First-Time Vaulters
Never touched a pole vault pole? Perfect. The club starts from the ground up — approach mechanics, grip, plant, and swing — and builds fundamentals before height ever becomes the focus.
Developing Athletes
Already vaulting but want to break through a plateau? Consistent club training gives athletes the repetition volume that occasional school practices can't match.
Competition-Focused Athletes
Targeting a state qualifier, USATF Junior Olympics, or personal record? Club training keeps athletes sharp and progressing through the full competitive season and offseason.
Middle School Athletes
Some of the best high school vaulters started in 6th or 7th grade. Getting a 2–3 year head start on technique means arriving at the high school level with a real foundation already built.
What Club Membership Includes
- Structured Skill Progression
Each training block builds on the last — approach consistency, pole carry, plant mechanics, swing phase, and bar clearance. Athletes know exactly what they're working on and why.
- Video Analysis
Regular video review of jumps with direct feedback. Athletes can see what's working and what needs correction instead of relying only on verbal cues.
- Competition Preparation
Club training includes meet prep — opening heights, pole selection strategy, warmup routines, and the mental side of competition. Athletes show up to meets ready, not just fit.
- Equipment Guidance
Pole selection is a technical decision that affects safety and performance. Members get direct guidance from Coach Dopp on which poles to use at every stage of development.
- Year-Round Schedule
The club trains year-round, not just during track season. Offseason development is where technique actually gets built — in-season is when you cash in on it.
Practices held at Thunder Ridge High School and other east Idaho facilities. Exact schedule and location shared upon enrollment.

Coached by Someone Who Vaults
Coach Dillon Dopp is the head pole vault coach at Thunder Ridge High School in Idaho Falls. He vaulted and competed in the decathlon at Southern Utah University and founded East Idaho Pole Vault Academy — now Teton Vault Club — to give east Idaho athletes the year-round training access he never had growing up.
Teton Vault Club is not a side business. Coach Dopp coaches pole vault full time — at the high school level, through the club, and through TetonVault's online and in-person coaching programs. His athletes compete at regional and national USATF Junior Olympic championships.
