The hardshell has a polyethylene shell over a fine lead fill, so it hits exact competition weight without the impact damage. It meets NFHS, NCAA and World Athletics specifications, and the 4 kg and 16 lb are World Athletics Certified — the same implement is legal for indoor competition and safe for the fieldhouse.
